Thanksgiving <3

ITS TUESDAY…usually i wouldn’t be to excited about a tuesday, but today is like a friday!  We get out today for Thanksgiving Break!!  Its going to be fantastic.  Breaks from school are the best!  Sleeping in late, watching movies, and getting to go out on whatever night you would like.  Not to mention this is Thanksgiving too so add amazing food and family to all those good things and you have got a GREAT week!  I don’t understand why Thanksgiving is forgot about all the time, i LOVE the holiday!

Pre-game jitters

Tonight is the first game of our basketball season and i have butterflies fluttering all through my stomach.  It is nerve-racking because I am a senior now and its pressure knowing that this is your last first game of your senior year.  We play Watauga which puts even more pressure on because of the rivalry that has been held for so many years!  If there is one team you want to beat it is definitely them!!  Hopefully everything is going to go like we hope and all teams will win and it will be a fantastic night!! =]

So far school is going sooooo fast.  We had our last 2 volleyball games of the regular season last week.  On senior night we played East Wilkes who is a very, very tough team.  I was so proud of our team because we sweeped them in 3!!!  I have never seen us play that well and it gives me chills just thinking about it.  It was a really emotional night because I can’t imagine not playing volleyball again in purple next year!!!  As ready as i am to graduate, I can’t imagine not being a part of the high school.  We also played our State playoff game this weekend against Polk County.  They were a little better than we all expected  so we lost, but altogether I was really satisfied with our season and we have so many great memories that will last forever!!!!

Homecoming ’09

Its finally HOMECOMING week:)…I am so excited!  Today was pajama day which was great because I loved just being in sweats all day…I’m pretty sure that is going to become my new wardrobe.  Tomorrow is Neon/Breast Cancer Awareness Day and we have a volleyball game and we get to wear hot pink jerseys.  Its going to be awesome and we are supporting a great cause that affects everyone.  And the week only gets better…Friday is the day!!!  I got my suit for Homecoming Court finally after forever of looking and I am praying it doesn’t rain.  Then right after the game (which we are going to win) is the dance!!

This week is just going to be the best:)

College is going to drive me crazy =]

I am applying for Teaching Fellows because I am hoping to be a Pre-School teacher.  I am in the process of filling out that application while also trying to fill out my applications for colleges and scholarshipis…its crazy.  I thought SENIOR YEAR was supposed to be the best year of your life…so far it has been the busiest and most stressful!  I went to App yesterday for a Teacher Cadet tour and meeting.  We got a tour of the campus, the teaching fellow dorms, got to meet all the teaching fellows, and even got to sit in on one of their classes.   I met so many neat people and LOVED App.   The good thing about that day is it made it easier for me to fill out my TF application with a first choice school now!  Hopefully things will start settling down, and I can relax and enjoy my last year in high school =]

busy, busy, busy

On Saturday Charity and I went to an App game with a bunch of our friends.  I didn’t realize how great the enviroment was there.  I had been to many games before, but since I am looking to maybe go to school at App I had a totally different outlook.  It sort of scared me thinking that I could be one of those people next year in the student section Its a scary, but good feeling!  Yesterday we went to Wilkes Central and played without 3 of our starters…but we won!!!!!

I was supposed to go to Raleigh this weekend and spend the weekend with my best friend, but unfortunately I have a ball tournament to go to and won’t have time to get to Raleigh =[

Last week was an ok week!  Our volleyball team lost on Tuesday to Starmount but the worst part of it was one of our middle hitters also fractured her foot in 2 places.   On Thursday though we played West Wilkes and were predicted to lose, but pulled it out in 5 CLOSE games!!  It was so great, we have never played so good as a team!!  Labor Day weekend was pretty boring…I caught up on rest and even went on a college visit to Western Carolina.  As I am applying for Teaching Fellows iy is required that I visit and apply to the 5 colleges I am most interested in.  So thats a little stressful, but this was a good, long weekend to just chill and enjoy the sunny weather!! 

Hopefully this week will be short, and maybe our football team can pull out a win on friday
